Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Deep Purple were forced to cancel all activities the band had planned after the successful release of their latest album “Whoosh!”. Spending their time in isolation without being able to play together in person, an idea came up that the band had actually been playing with for years: making a record packed with songs written and originally performed by other artists.
